Bentley glides into a new chapter with new wings.
Over a century of history has made Bentley one of the most respected and celebrated names in the automotive industry. With racing heroes in its early days, and a lineup of highly innovative, sumptuously elegant ultra-luxury vehicles with spirited driving character, Bentley stands triumphant in the current moment, with a new concept car that is set to be revealed on July 8 along with the opening of a new Bentley Design Studio at its home of Crewe, England.
However, not only is a new concept vehicle being unveiled from Bentley, but a new Bentley logo, a reimagination of the legendary “Winged B” emblem. In its history of 106 years, the new logo will be only the fifth iteration of the icon, with the original design emerging in 1919 from F. Gordon Crosby, and the new version curated in-house by Robin Page, Bentley’s Director of Design.
The new Winged B features sharper, more dramatic wings that are reminiscent of the Peregrine Falcon, with the lower feathers removed for a sleeker silhouette. In addition to redesigning the wings, the new concept that will be the first car to wear it, while not intended for production, is set to help showcase the new design language and future trajectory of Bentley models. With a highly successful luxury lineup and over a century of cherished history, the upcoming Bentley concept and its new emblem are highly anticipated indications of the future of the automotive world.
